The whole gang getting down and dirty. (Yes, that's Frankie Delgado, Taylor Moscher and Sophia Rossi too!)
Lauren blogged: Good old Ralph Waldo Emerson (remember him from high school lit class?) once said, helping others “is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life.” I couldn’t agree more. Whenever I get a chance, I do builds with Habitat for Humanity. Nothing is more satisfying than snuggling into bed—sore—after a long day of building.
Habitat for Humanity is an international non-profit organization that was founded in the late 1970s to address issues of poverty housing and homelessness. Habitat encourages people of all backgrounds to ban together to build homes for families in need. Today, over 400,000 homes have been built worldwide, housing more than 2 million people. It’s unreal.
I love working with Habitat. There is something really rewarding about getting your hands dirty for the sake of helping others
If you can carve out the time, I highly recommend doing a build with a group of friends. It’s a fun way to spend the day while working together to improve the lives of others. Talk about multi-tasking! Habitat has lots of affiliate building projects all over the world and I really encourage all of you to get involved.

Have you done a Habitat build before? Or, how do you like to give back?
XO Lauren
